Our Story

MamaSmiles was created by two practising dentists who kept hearing the same question from patients: "What's actually safe for my baby's gums - and for me during pregnancy?"

The honest answer was that most products on the market weren't designed with that question in mind. Existing baby oral care relied on ingredients dentists wouldn't confidently recommend, and the gap between what parents needed and what was available was clear.

So we built what we couldn't find.

The Science Behind It

Every MamaSmiles product is built around evidence-based formulation - no benzocaine, no fluoride, no compromises on safety. We use hydroxyapatite, a naturally occurring mineral that forms the building blocks of tooth enamel, because the research supports it and because we'd recommend it to our own families.

We are meticulous by nature. Every ingredient, every concentration, every formulation decision has been made with the same rigour we apply in clinical practice.

Dr Jack Brazel BChD - Co-Founder

Jack and John are award-winning dentists with clinical experience across Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. They met at university, built careers focused on evidence-based dentistry, and co-founded MamaSmiles out of a shared belief that families deserve oral care products held to the same standard as clinical recommendations.

John holds Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in both Prosthodontics and Dental Surgery - specialist-level qualifications that inform every formulation decision MamaSmiles makes.

MamaSmiles exists to give parents confidence - because what goes in your baby's mouth matters, and you shouldn't have to guess.
